A tropical depression seems to be sitting over La. (Not Really) A 90% chance of rain perty much makes only the crawfish happy. Come on 2010 I'm ready for this new year. Sometime I just wonder if New Years Eve is only for the young. My idea of spending the evening listen to artillary fire coming from the bayou just doesn't do it for me. Now a swanky little dive on Frenchmes Street in New Orleans is more to my liking Even spending the day visiting the quarters would be nice, weather permitting of course. We'll just have to do some research.

Drove down to Lake Dautrieve Landing yesterday. The lake is so beautiful this time of year. I remember coming to the landing to listen to music as a child. The old juke box played old r&b soul from Errma Thomas and Smilie Lewis. It even had old Swamp Pop music. Years ago a movie company used this site to film one of the worst films about Louisiana. I believe it was called something like foggy bottom monstor or something to that effect. Not good. This area had one of the oldest virgin cypress tree forest in the Atchafalaya area. Not far from this area is the Lake Faussey Point State park which is just across the lake. Beautiful place to spend a vacation.

Finally Sunday is almost over and tomorrow I head back to work. It's not that I think in my head that I have no purpose with out work its just that it keeps me on an even keel. I know that at 7:00a.m. I'll start my truck and head towards the mission and by 7:20 a.m. I put my key in the gate and the story begins. All ten of them will have a story to tell. Stories filled with excused about why they aren't to blame. Thats what I do I'm the listener and then the fixer if that is really ever possible. You might ask why I even write about this. Well its because I need to get some of these thoughts out of my head.
